The Dawn of a New Day
In this month of Tishrei I hear the Lord say,
“It is the Dawn of a New Day.”
This prophetic understanding actually came to me through a dream. In the dream I was waiting for the Lord to come and rescue me. There was a terrible threat of darkness lurking all around me, taunting me. As I looked out the window (windows often symbolize revelation and prophetic understanding) I saw the breaking of dawn. In the dream I had to pick up a gun (representing authority) and keep it by my bedside as I waited for daylight. Yet, hope rose up in my heart, as I knew the sun was about to rise.
The message for this season is a message of hope for those who have been waiting on the Lord for rescue. This month is a time to be vigilant and sober minded about the darkness that surrounds, standing in our authority and readiness as good soldiers. We must not be ignorant of the darkness of the night. However, this month is also a time of the dawning of the new, those promises and open doors which God has prepared for those who have remained in faith, waiting for Him.
The time just before dawn is the darkness part of the night, and I could feel that darkness tangibly in the dream. Yet, as I saw the golden glow of the light rising on the horizon, it pierced that darkness with beams of light with such stark contrast, breaking open the darkness in victory. I knew that there was an end to the waiting, and the new day was about to begin.
This will be a month of great darkness and shaking, requiring you to be absolutely vigilant, always ready, standing firm in your identity with Christ’s authority over the dark things that come upon the earth.
This will be a month of the dawn of new day for those who have waited on the Lord. The hope and promises that break forth in this darkness will shine so starkly and give God great, dawn-like glory for what He has done.
In Tishrei, Hope dawns in the darkest of days.
